Thing #2

I wanted the name of the blog to reflect who I am and where I am at in my journey, so Telford's Teachable Moments seemed to fit. I have wanted to be a teacher all my life! During my years as youth coordinator at my church, one thing I taught the youth leaders during workshops were to look for teachable moments. As I continue on my journey to becoming a teacher, I try to be aware of those teachable moments in my life and journal them. As difficult as this may be at times, I want to savor each and every challenge (chemistry!) and triumph I encounter.

Creating the blog was not difficult at all and I enjoyed the experience very much! As I mentioned in Thing #1, I have been interested in setting up a blog, but probably would not have invested the time if it had not been for this assignment. The instructions were very clear and the steps easy to follow.

Creating the avatar was equally as fun! They even come in full size, which I find very amusing! I was able to find clothing that reflects my taste- capri pants and sandals! I love bulletin boards and vision boards, so having that style background was fun and added a bit of my personality. Though I was thinking of adding the Statue of Liberty since I am from New York! I chose to create an avatar that looks like the real me because I like myself!
